GRAPE HARVESTER MOUNTED SORT SYSTEMs

Discharge arm MOG sorter

Easy mount discharge arm units bolt to the top of the discharge arm and moves with the arm.   Harvested crop from the cross belt drops into the sorter infeed.  Once the crop is cleaned, it discharges out the bottom along the entire length depositing cleaned crop onto the discharge belt.  MOG is discharged out the end, either across a tapered chute or our newly designed low-profile MOG conveyor.  When installing we typically move the discharge arm down about 12” to make room for the sorter.  These units can operate in vineyards up to12 tons per acre without slowing down.

These sorters work similar to the discharge arm units but discharge clean crop directly under where the harvested crop enters in. (not along its entire length)   This design allows for a variety of mounting options without adding the heavy weight to your discharge arm.  You can mount between the cross belt and discharge arm, extending forward or to the rear.  You can also mount in a position where transferring from one conveyor to the next.

For harvesters (like valley trunk shakers) that are picking extremely heavy crops, two units can be mounted. One unit cleaning the left side and one the right.  Harvesters with double sorters can operate in 20+ tons per acre situations without slowing down.

Center mount MOG sorter

We typically mount these on harvesters that are the bucket conveyor style.  As the harvester’s lift buckets bring up harvested crop they deposit onto our vibrating belt feeders.  The feeders vibrate the crop removing all loose berries and free-run juice then discharging them out to the harvester’s main cross conveyor.  The remaining leaves, sticks, and bunches are elevated and dropped onto the main sorter unit.   We reposition one of the harvester’s main fans over this drop point.  With the absence of free run juice and loose berries, this fan can run at maximum without blowing any juice out.  The remaining crop is cleaned thru the sorter and return to the harvester’s main cross belt.

With our vibrating belt feeders design, you can really increase the thruput of the main sorter.  We have been to operate in 14 ton per acre situations without having to slow the harvester down.  They can be made in any length to accommodate the different widths of harvesters.
